Why I'm here....

Since I've always been quick with an opinion an old friend once lost and again found suggested that perhaps I should share with more people my commentary. Never being one to pass on a challenge I thought I'd give it a whirl.

My Neighbors Wife...

Sixty three years of marriage. That is amazing at best. When I asked Don how he did it he would always laugh and say you had to over look the little things and take the bad with the good. When doing this you would realize that there was more good to be had. The last year for him has been rough as he's watched his wife slowly slip away and the last few weeks completely miserable. He's spent every day going to the hospital to be with her. Half expecting he'd find she hadn't made it through the night. Amazingly he said most days she'd have beaten the odds and be chatting away with him. But there were tests and pain and as much as he loved her he couldn't stand to see that. His plans now to move, travel with what little time he has left. He can't bare to live in the house he's lived 63 years with her in, without her. He has no family left. Just him and his dog. He's not one to give up though. He's always out working in his yard. Mrs. Wall passed away and was buried on Monday. So no more pain. His words are filled with love and admiration of her though. How wonderful that someone could love someone so deeply after so long. I wish him the best and will miss seeing him around. I didn't know her. She had been confined to the house most of the last few years and even though neighbors I talk to him only on occassion outside. There is so much wisdom there to be gained from though. He's wise one can tell beyond imagination. So take a moment and be thankful today for your loved ones. Imagine if you can this mans courage and his strength. And the love he has had all these years for his wife.

I almost started my own blog and the first post would be "Does true love exist today?". This is a story of "TRUE LOVE". Here you had two people who loved each other who weren't related. They met, fell in love, and lived long happy lives together. It is to bad that things can't be that way today. Two people together in an unselfish caring relationship. People today are two selfish and into the things they can have instead of building relationships like this one.

made me want to cry. he had the true blessing in life. sigh. and richie true love exist when you want it too. we have to look past all the doubts the devil puts before us and just believe what our best friend says and does. its not an easy ride but its one well worth trying again and again if needed be.
